Scotland's Enlightenment and its' early day Public Schools by their very existence would probably deeply offend "Today's" Republican Party due to the fact that "Robert Burns & Adam Smith" came from poor Share Croppers and Working Class Backgrounds. How dare a Poor Self-Educated Share Cropper's Son go onto become one of the greatest Poet's of all time. Oh and how dare a Working Class Kid becomes a leading Businessman & Economist.......All of these things should only be reserved for Aristocracy and or the Merchant Class, huh !?
