You should've made a "Public Incident" out of it by doing everything possible in those days of Print & Broadcast Media to PUBLICLY SHAME and EMBARRASS THEM through everything from Newspaper Editorials to Radio and TV News . Even if you wouldn't get an apology or settlement you could still draw a great deal of attention to them by Publicly Shaming and Taunting Them without mercy! If it was in the age of the Internet then it would've even been easier to Publicly Embarrass Them!

  2. Fucking Dickheads! That's what "This Particular Unit" proved themselves to be BY NOT APOLOGIZING AND ADMITTING THEIR MISTAKE!!!! They deserved to have failed catching their suspect even if he or she deserved such just out of the principal of their refusing to apologize to an innocent party!
