  3.  @georgelionon9050  You're kinda making my point for me. At least the theory of gravity has observable and predictable effects. We can understand those effects even though we have no real idea why gravity is a thing, and any "consensus" on what gravity is can be proved wrong tomorrow. We understand crude oil exists and what it's made of, but we don't really know where it comes from.
