  2. Planting trees won't solve "climate change" because there is nothing to solve. Or maybe it will eventually be realized that global deforestation has itself incited the "crazy carbon calamity" that the chicken littles are obsessed with!!

  4. That makes no sense. Living things die every day, not all at once in some big calamity. If you're a believer in carbon=evil, then putting a huge amount of carbon into tress would take it away from the atmosphere and ocean. There would be regular exchange as trees sprout and trees die, but if the overall volume of trees remains constant, the "stored carbon" volume will also stay constant.

  5.  @ierwin88  How is "carbon under the ground" a problem? How is coal a problem? YOU are about 19% carbon. Life on Earth is carbon-based. It's not like it's some toxic substance that must be avoided and eliminated.

  8.  @zweigackroyd7301  I don't have to explain anything. This isn't a term paper, and I never claimed to be an expert. Everyone can fall into a cognitive bias, but that does not mean I am subject to one. Having an opinion is not, yet, a crime. I am amused when people throw around "Dunning Kruger effect!" as some kind of argument without actually understanding it (or its misinterpreted psychological relevancy) while imitating it themself.
