  1. I was hoping this video would get me interested in "The Fermi Paradox" but it did not. I'm firmly in the "there is no paradox because there is a vast lack of information" camp, so it's not reasonable to waste thought on this type of stuff. I find it interesting and annoying how people with certain accents pronounce English's -ing with a hard /g/ or /k/ sound at the end. I'd never noticed that such speakers only do it sometimes.

  2. It's not a matter of taboo. It's a matter of practicality. There are much more pertinent and important things to spend money on than searching for aliens. Whether they exist or not.
