  2.  @aturner488  There is no perfect person. (Other than Jesus Christ.) Just because someone was against slavery back then does not automatically mean he was morally righteous in every aspect of his life. Or whatever issue you want to glare back through history to shake your finger at.

  5.  @mansiondave23  Then I will. Communism IS evil and wrong. It is a means to suppress people and individual freedom. If you want to be a despot and fatcat, then be a communist dictator. Standing on everyone under you's back pays very well. The people that claim "Communism isn't that bad, we just need to implement it correctly" are the most-ignorant of human history.

  6. He didn't do a lot of awful things. For the most part, he did what had to be done. It's "easy" to critique things we only think we understand out of ignorance 250 years later.

  10. I'm not sure "victim" is the right word there. George Washington wasn't a victim of anything, since they won The War. Had they lost, they would all have been executed.
