  4. You might be the only one here who "gets it." This video is total BS. I'll call it "woke wad wanking." I'm very glad it's not my money wad. It sure makes everyone feel good, but it's all just hope. The same 30+ year hope that's been carried on for decades. Personally, I cannot see any of these technologies being cheap enough to sustain and operate at scale to be realistic. Liquid sodium is a "sure thing" to invest in right now.

  5. Well, the first one (dumbbell) won't work. The second one (diesel-engine-like) won't work. The third one (target practice) has a little promise, but it will be too expensive to operate. I guess the carbon monster is still gonna kill us all. 🙄

  7.  @humanistwriting5477  No. The whole blowing things up bit is the part that I hope they're trying to minimize. The whole contemporary problem with sustainable fusion is overcoming the electromagnetic force with the strong force. We're gonna have to be a little more ingenious about that.

  8. We do NOT have the technology to capture or store solar energy. Today's "solar tech" is a dead end. Good solar technology has yet to be invented.
