  2.  @Johnysgate3  I think you kinda over-estimate the power and influence of the USA. Yes, it's a leader of nations on the West, but both France and the UK invaded the Suez Canal without the USA's permission. More recently, Trump specifically told Turkey not to invade Syria and they didn't listen. During the attempted coup in Turkey, Turkey surrounded US bases with soldiers and even blamed the USA for the coup. So the US can and does rally nations, it also doesn't have absolute respect or control. Especially the farther from Europe you go
