  9. Srry, but I gotta disagree with you on this one. The Net Neutrality doesn't make it difficult for start ups, it evens the playing field. Look, I get it. I hate government regulations too, but sometimes they're necessary. Remember the industrial age when their were no regulations? Yeah, the competition was good, but then Monopolies began supressing smaller businesses and they treated workers like shit. Sometimes we need regulation on corporations.

I know cause when I bought my AK-74 from Cabela's, they gave me a background check and it was registered with the FBI under my name. But if you buy from a private seller, it's up to you if you want to register it with the FBI

  13. The Safari's in Africa and even deer hunting here in the states have proven to protect the animals too. When the locals see that the animals attract hunters, the realize the true value of the animals and try to protect them because they're smart enough to realize that the hunters (aka people who bring money) will stop coming if there are no animals.

  15. Carlos Rodriguez Well, I sit on the same fence but I consider myself Libertarian. To be Libertarian doesn't mean to be pro-anarchy or completely for 100% unrestricted Capitalism. Libertarians are for small, efficient government. Certainly there needs to be some regulations to prevent companies from screwing each other over (like in monopolies), to ensure workers get treated fairly and to ensure that corporations aren't ripping off their customers. Unrestricted Capitalism was basically what the 1880's-1910's America was and it wasn't great. I personally agree with some regulations like the FDA, trust busting and things like OSHA. But other than that, government shouldn't get in the way too much.

  19. I know this is a Libertarian channel, but focusing on putting less people in prison and reducing gun crime is I think something the Democrats have right. It doesn't make sense to me that the US has a larger prison population than China or Russia and the Republicans just want to throw more people in prison

  21. The point is that the Federal Reserve controls interest rates. By artificially pushing them lower, they encourage people to buy houses. But then it creates a housing crisis that gets worse and worse because nobody is gonna sell their house to buy a new one with a higher interest rate. Interest rates should rise and fall with the natural cycle of the market, rather than be artificially controlled by the Federal Reserve.

Instead of using weird, redrawn lines on a map to determine "voting districts", why not just use the already determined boundaries of counties to conduct voting? You could then just cluster the counties together for each Representative of the House. For example, Wisconsin has 72 counties and 8 representatives. You could easily then put 9 counties into 8 voting districts.

  38. Ricardo Baer Ah, but it is. The US National Guard/ US Reserve is trained and funded by the US military. The units are based in their respective states, and even recruit locally, but they answer the US military before they answer the state. Govenors can only activate the Guard units that are at home doing nothing

  49. Fiat currency is paper money that is backed by shared value rather than gold or silver. The US government took the US Dollar off the Gold Standard in the 1930's, making the US Dollar a Fiat Currency. Libertarians want to go back to the Gold Standard. Fiat is also an Italian car company.
