Why do people in the comments lie all the time? Hatred for the USA? So they lie to justify it?

The American people are why Vietnam is Communist

1) The USA never invaded North Vietnam (The Democratic Republic of Vietnam) out of fear China would declare war on the USA. How do you win, if you can't invade your enemy? 2) In addition, the US had the same problem in the South (The Republic of Vietnam) fighting Communist farmers as they do today in Afghanistan. The enemy hides amongst the locals with no official uniform. While US soldiers did kill civilians and commit war crimes, it was official US policy to NOT kill civilians (The US government is still paying Vietnam for Agent Orange to this day). So, killing all the rice farmers was not a solution. 3) The US fought many battles in the Jungle trying to kill all of the Vietnamese Communists, but after the Battle of Dak To 6,000 Vietnamese Communists fled to Laos and Cambodia where the USA could not fight them. 4) Americans fled to Canada and Mexico to avoid being forced in the army (The USA still has conscription laws). Americans attacked and killed US soldiers coming home from Vietnam. The USA had massive riots and protests. Buildings were burnt down. The US government could not stay in Vietnam and face civil unrest at home. The American people did not want to fight and die in Vietnam.

You wrote fiction

Communists invaded the Republic of Vietnam. The USA defended the Republic of Vietnam from the Communists. Now thousands of Vietnamese live in the USA because they were going to be killed by Communists.

@Flyingkitty1234 It's the truth
1
The Republic of Vietnam was invaded by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. That's a civil war
1
The US did support Vietnamese independence. The Republic of Vietnam existed from 1955 - 1975. The US helped the Republic of Vietnam from 1965-1975 when it was invaded by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The USA spent $10 billion on schools and food programs in the Republic of Vietnam. When the Democratic Republic of Vietnam attacked a US ship in the Gulf of Tonkin, they declared war on the USA

@cdnsk12 The USA won every battle in the Vietnam War. The USA was defeated at home when US citizens demanded an end to the war. Thousands of American men fled to Canada to avoid the Draft. Americans attacked US soldiers and spit on them.

That's not true at all. Iraq Gulf War Grenada Panama Libya Yugoslavia 6 million Soviets marched into Berlin wearing US boots. The Soviets had not won that war. Don't forget who won the war against Italy and Japan. It was not the Soviets
1
@armando3168 It did. About 10 million pairs of boots
1
@armando3168 TIK has a video on YouTube about Lend-Lease

The US won every battle in Vietnam

They won the Mexican-American War. They win the American-Spanish War. They win the Panama War. They win the Grenada War. They win the Gulf War. They win the Iraq War. They win the American Revolution.

@qw49 The US protected the Republic of Vietnam, which existed from 1955-1975. They were fighting the Communists all alone for 10 years before the USA arrived to help. Then the Communists attacked US ships in the Gulf of Tonkin and declared war. The US left when Americans started attacking their own soldiers and demanded they leave
1
The Americans were fighting Communism and defending the Republic of Vietnam
1
My Uncle was told that the Communist Vietnamese murdered Catholic priests, that's why he went to fight in Vietnam

The USA didn't want to invade North Vietnam out of fear of a repeat of the Korean War. The USA even went so far as to not attack North Vietnamese SAM's out of fear that killing Soviet or Chinese soldiers would start a war with China or the Soviet Union.
1
The Republic of Vietnam existed from 1955-1975. Kennedy was president from 1961-1963. Why are you a liar?

America won every battle in Vietnam. They lost the war when US citizens started attacking their own soldiers at home. American men fled to Canada and Mexico to avoid be forced into the army. America the war because Americans hated the war
