  1. Russia lied, took Luhansk, Donetsk and Crimea from Ukraine. Ukraine is under constant threat from Russia. Russia can never be trusted. Ukraine must join the EU and NATO

  2. Both sides lie because they know how important public perception and foreign perception of the war is. It's the people of Russia, Ukraine and foreign governments that ultimately decide the war. As soon as one side believes they have lost, the war will end.
