  1. Ukraine was neutral before this war, yet they were still invaded. Finland and Sweden were also neutral, then they saw the Russian invasion of Ukraine and now they're joining NATO. All of Russia's European neighbors want to join NATO, yet Switzerland and Austria are surrounded by NATO and don't feel threatened.
