  2. As an American, our attitude is that we defended South Korea and fought for their freedom when North Korea invaded on June 25th, 1950. North Korea and China wanted to destroy South Korea. These American soldiers are our heroes. They defended Democracy from the Communists. The Chinese and North Koreans outnumbered us and they still could not conquer South Korea. Soviet pilots even flew planes that shot down American planes. But we never gave up.
