  1. The new AMPV should be able to keep up. It's about as big as the Abrams and weighs about the same, but has no armament. It has a massive new engine. It should be able to keep up and protect the infantry. The only down sides are that it's a massive target, it's too heavy to conveniently transport, it needs special bridges to cross water and it's thirsty for fuel. But you can't have everything right? Pros and cons.
