  5. The USS Ronald Reagan and it's battle fleet is stationed in Japan and there's currently another US carrier group in the South China Sea. It would take only a few hours to sail to Taiwan. US troops are stationed in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. It wouldn't take long for them to get to defend Taiwan. With the largest Air Force in the world (over 13,000+ aircraft in their inventory), the USA could quickly secure the skies over Taiwan.
