  4. ​ @MrShipBuff The US has never, ever, ever and never, ever, ever will solve its own issues at home. They scapegoats used by politicians to get elected and fill their own pockets with more money.

  5. I think the US would benefit more from turning Mexico into a stable and prosperous country like Canada, than it would from absorbing more Mexican territory. Besides, American citizens are currently very tired of war and foreign conflicts. I don't see much of the country supporting the annexation of more Mexican territory, especially among Liberals and Progressives. While it will almost never happen, I have heard some Americans even suggest returning land to Mexico!
