Coo. The NRA isn't responsible for deciding who gets guns and who doesn't. It slipped under the FBI and local law enforcement's noses.

Simon Benson Any full auto gun made before 1986 is legal. Purchasing it requires a special $200 tax stamp you must pay, months of background checks, and must be okayed by local law enforcement. Because they're so rare, fully automatic guns are very expensive (the cheapest are $5,000+). Converting a semi-automatic gun to full automatic is already illegal. But, a bump stock is legal through a loophole. But the debate is, how effective would banning bump stocks be at preventing people from using semi-automatic guns like machineguns? You can use a rubber band or a finger through a belt loop for the same effect of a bump stock. Then you get into "Should semi-automatic rifles be banned or more heavily regulated"? And that's a whole another can of worms. It doesn't even address the fact that semi-automatic handguns commit like 75% of all gun deaths, which nobody wants to regulate for some reason.

Otto Remse I disagree with the clubs. As it stands right now, where I live, all the the gun clubs are at max capacity and expensive to join when a spot does open up. Most gun clubs own ranges that are open only to members. Gun shops will have ranges, but they arent cheap, they limit what you can use (since most are indoor) and very strict. So I drive far to find a cheap outdoor range or I go to my grandparents cabin which has plenty of open space and is far from neighbors so nobody is likely to get hurt. If having to join a gun club is mandatory, I'd never be able to go shooting or even sight it my gun for hunting. It'd be super expensive and only for the rich.

Putting your trigger finger through your belt loop and pulling back on the gun does the exact same thing as a bump stock. Just saying. Please don't go murder innocent people because I told u this.

I'm gonna have to say that bump stocks should be outlawed or more heavily regulated, like fully automatic rifles

Elon Musk and the executives as Tesla definitely deserve positions in the US government!
