  1.  @TheOffkilter  As someone from the Midwest, we do have our own teases for the Coasties. But much of the rural USA is surprisingly wealthy or has more middle-class earnings. Most of the poverty is actually in the inner cities.

  4.  @blackcatdungeonmastersfami5311  The lack of Moscow's care for rural regions is very very different from the USA. For one, the USA does not have a strong central government. This is why you will notice states that have legalized marijuana despite it being illegal under federal law. You will also notice states suing the US government over issues and winning. The homeless problem is not a heartland USA issue. It's a coastal issue where there are large cities.

  5.  @nromk  That is not true. Some of the wealthiest people and the majority of the middle-class live in "flyover" states.
