  4.  @davidschultz9521  In all seriousness, I think motivation decides wars more than anything else. Look at Yemen, like you said, or Vietnam or Afghanistan (3 times). If you can convince the enemy that they can't win, the war will end. It was a philosophy that General Grant and General Sherman used to defeat the Confederacy during the America Civil War. It wasn't just the Confederate Army they had to defeat, but they had to convince the Southern people that the war was no longer worth fighting for.
