  2.  @someguycalledcerberus9805  Most navies do not operate cruisers anymore. Cruisers used to be screens for Battleships. Cruisers have moved to be the modern stay of the Battleships. They pack more firepower than destroyers and frigates. They can operate independently. The Moskva was larger than the American Ticonderoga class Guided-Missile Cruisers. The USSR built such large cruisers because in theory, they could take on multiple American ships at once and win. But if that was ever even the case, the Moskva was so old, one or two missiles was probably enough to cause the "house of cards to collapse", so to speak. That says nothing of the training and quality of her sailors.
