  1. PSA2 The center if the African continent was left isolated and alone for over 2,500 years. They didn't develope like Europe, the Middle East or China because they were isolated. Africa was the last continent to be colonized because the harsh environment, deadly diseases, and warring tribes prevented it. The Arabs could influence, enslave and colonize East Africa and North Africa, but it was difficult to get the interior. The Europeans settled in forts on the coasts of West, South and East Africa for centuries because any attempt to venture into the interior was deadly and futile. They bought slaves by trading with tribes that brought them from the interior. It was tribalism and isolation that stunted Africa, just like it stunted the Native Americans. The wars and trade that happened in Europe, the Middle East and China was led those countries to be some of the most advanced on Earth
