  1. Timothy Brown Problem with that logic is that many who fly the Confederate battle flag also identify as American. Why? Because after the Civil War, the traitors weren't hung or killed, they were treated as Americans, because that's what they are. That flag used to represent the army of an independent nation. Now it represents a Southern culture & identity. To others, it represents racism and hate because if the few that continue to fly it for that purpose

  2. I'm sorry your ability to do as you wish and express your opinion, is limited by the sensativity of your fellow countrymen. I'm sorry that your freedom of speech was taken away by people who are easily offended. I might think the flag represents the Nazi government of the 1930s, but it should be your right to fly it if you chose to. People are entitled to their own opinion, even if the facts of killing millions of jews say otherwise. In America, we have the option to live in ignorance and in our own little worlds.

  3. The meaning of a flag is what you give it. The flag doesn't matter, its who's flying it. To the KKK, the flag represents White Superiority. To some it is heritage. To some, it is rebellion or being someone from the "country". To some it is the Daisy Dukes t.v. show. To some it is history. To some it represents State's Rights. Its just like to some, the American flag represents oppression and terrorism. And to others the American flag is freedom.

  4. I'm not even a Southerner, and I can say your right. The South has a culture and unique identity. That's represented by that flag. It's unfortunate that many Neo-Nazis and KKK members also hold that flag
