  4. After WWII? The US understood logistics wins wars after the American Civil War. General Ulysses S. Grant was a genius that understood logistics better than anyone after serving in the Mexican-American War as a Quartermaster.

  5. In Western Armies like France, Germany, the UK, and the USA, you won't find multiple barrel rocket launchers like the BM-27 Uragan because those weapons are very inaccurate. Western artillery is all about accuracy. Destroy the target with less ammo is cheaper, more efficient and more effective. Russian weapon systems are not nearly as good so, "It's one of Russia's best weapons" usually just means to has aong range and just launches ton of rockets randomly all over the place. The Russians try to make up for lack of accuracy by increasing the volume of fire. Its very inefficient, but very destructive, especially to civilians amd civilian-infrastructure.

  6. I think the Ukrainian Army is larger and better equipped than the Russians anticipated. I think the Ukrainians haven't really concentrated all their forces in one particular place, but have rather more or less evenly distributed most of their forces across all the fronts. And the dangerous part for Russia is that as every week goes by, more Ukrainian soldiers are arriving from training in Europe and the USA with more and more Western equipment which means that time is not on Russia's side. From what I can tell, Russian soldiers' complaints have not changed: still not enough ammo, not enough supplies, barely any units are being rotated, not enough trucks, not enough NCOs, etc. While the Ukrainians have lost ground in the east, the Ukrainians seem to still have enough reserves to regularly rotate most units and Ukrainian artillery is carefully picking it's targets, mindful that it can't outpace it's supply of ammo. I'm not saying the Ukrainian Army is perfect, but I think the Russians still underestimate them and are falling victim to their own propaganda about the Ukrainian Army

  9. Ukraine can't join NATO because of a rule in NATO that prevents nations with ongoing territorial conflicts or disputes from joining. This is why Georgia and Moldova also can't join

  14. JDAMs are modified conventional bombs, given GPS guidance and fins, making them more accurate. They are dropped by aircraft. It's crazy that Russia let the Ukrainian AirForce get close enough to drop JDAM bombs
