  3.  @tonny8881  Germany had more men on the Eastern Front at the start of Barbarossa, but the Soviet Army was way larger. And it's numbers kept growing while Germany's was at peak around 4 million in 1943. The US military officially had something like 13 million (including staff personnel, navy and airforce and all) in 1944 and I know the USSR's was way bigger than what the USA had.
