  3.  @SgtPotatoChip6356  It's a myth. The original was "It took 3 Sherman's to destroy a German tank." Then it was "It took 5 Sherman's to kill a German tank." Now it's "it took 10 Sherman's to kill a German tank." The lie changes all the time but has no basis in reality. Both the Americans and Soviets conducted a study after the war and found that it was usually which ever tank that fired first that won. Sherman tanks were more reliable than German tanks, they had standardized parts that could be easily swapped out or repaired. In addition, American tanks were attacking and German tanks were defending so of course the attackers took more damage. Defense is easier.
