@GQSmoke It's not a lie. Italians and Spaniards were not considered white by the majority of Americans for a long time. Even worse, the majority of Italians and Spanish were Catholics (the US was majority Protestant). JFK was the US's first Catholic president and my grandparents told me that people were scared that JFK was gonna destroy the country or sell it out to the Vatican. The KKK didn't just torment people of color, but they also massacred Catholics.
