  1. A lot of high schools teach about WWII like it's a checklist. "What happened? What happened next? What happened after that? How did the war end?" It's so, so, so important for the general public to understand why the war started. So much more important than what happened between 1939 and 1945. The general public also really needs to understand how the war ended and how it shaped our current world. Al the battles and campaigns in-between are fascinating, but for a 16 year old high school girl or boy who couldn't give a shit about warfare, it's far more important they understand why WWII started and how it ended.
