  1. 0:30 To elaborate further, the American HIMARS and M270 MLRS shoot fewer rockets, but mostly fire the M30 series of guided rockets. These usually have a range of about 45km. However, they can also fire the much larger 610mm MGM-140 ATACMS, which has a range of 300km. What the Ukrainians are firing (similar to what the Russians have), are unguided rockets. These are less accurate and increase chances of collateral damage. They are a risk to civilians.
