In geopolitics, 3 things matter the most in determining relations between countries: 1) the physical shape of the globe (the placing of continents) 2) population 3) resources If China and Russia can secure majority influence in Europe, African and Asia, they can isolate the USA to the America's where it will wither and stagnate. The USA is isolated by oceans, making trade and transportation more expensive. The USA and much of the America's have much less population than the rest of the world, making trade less profitable. The USA and the America's have resources, but not as much as Europe, Africa and Asia.
