  12. I was born in 1952 and we grew up with ‘The Bomb’ hanging over our heads. After awhile we just tuned it out. Especially since we lived near a Nike missile silo and near Lewis Research NASA at the Cleveland airport (now NASA Glenn Research Center.) We figured we’d be immediately obliterated, not running around with our skin melting off. What was hilarious was being told in the event of a nuclear attack to crouch under our desks. Even as 6 year olds we knew school desks aren’t great protection against an H bomb 😂.
