Styx, I love you, but I'm a 'religious fundamentalist' in the sense I believe everything Jesus said. I have faith in God because of my own personal experience. I was an agnostic for years and a Zen Buddhist. I hold no brief for organized religion of any type, but there are good people who actually live the Golden Rule. I would prefer the term 'dogmatist' for the nuts. I was raised Catholic and talk about adding a lot of stuff to what Jesus said that was absolutely COUNTER to his message. Jesus is actually not that popular with Christians, they'd rather argue Trinity vs Unity, Virgin Birth and other blahblah than just live as he directed people to. It's not atheists who'll rot in hell but people who were to kind to their fellows.
