In February 2020 a physician described to me his experiences in China 15 years prior witnessing lockdowns for all sorts of reasons with communist police bolting people inside their apartments as part of "emergency " measures. Everything in China is about the collective at the cost of sometimes millions of individuals. A few weeks later I was in Italy visiting a friend and the day after I arrived, lockdown which led to requiring official papers to leave your home and police checks. The willingness to comply in a disorganized society like italy blew my mind. As I told my friend then in poor italian, Siamo tutto cinese adesso. I returned to the US where division among people like me and the sheep was thick, with a media literally encouraging violence. And Joe Biden openly calls for police action and violence toward non-conformists--and like in China for any reason, with a cheering media. Supporters think of themselves as the best moral majority armed with money and master's degrees. There is zero reaching them.
