  22. The current Supra is a tad shorter yet wider than the A80 model. Besides, keep in mind that BMW didn't want to do much more with the Z4 after the previous generation until Toyota pitched the idea of co-developing both cars. If it's just a "tuned Z4", the driving wouldn't be the as the same as we have now.

  26. "it is just nothing" - except, the current car has made its mark at the 2019 Nuburgring 24h with chairman Akio Toyoda at the wheel, has a GT4 variant, won championships in multiple disciplines, and has outsold the A80 in North America alone.

  27. @Ibrahim Bashir - to be fair, the Mark 4 (A80) wasn't exactly flying off the shelves (besides Japan's faltering economy in the 90's). People even dismissed it until later thanks to popular culture.

  46. Uh, the Supra didn't start out with the JZ (including the Celica-based models, it started out with the M engines and then followed with the G and aformentioned JZ ones).
