  3. Yeah, drive either of the twins or the Miata. What you suggested heavily dilutes or outright destroys the purpose of a lightweight, two-door sportscar.

  4.  @MTB_Rider_96  - no one's denying that gas prices are going up. Problem here: hybrid technology adds WEIGHT, and WEIGHT changes a lot of things even if you figure out how to lighten it up. Using other materials like carbon fibre can increase a car's price, something you don't exactly want for an affordable sportscar.

  5.  @MTB_Rider_96  - again, even if you solve the issue of weight, problem here would be the price thanks to using more expensive, lightweight materials like carbon fibre. The twins don't exactly share a platform with any other car other than using elements of the Subaru Global Platform.
