@Mmjk_12 - which is debatable.
18
Prigozhin and Bakhmut suggest otherwise.
5
@LaHayeSaint - something tells me you hadn't read constantly the weather report for Europe during the winter (it was warmer than usual).
4
On the other hand, the MiG-15 used... a centrifugal-flow jet. So the slow part of the Meteor is mainly due to the fact swept wings were becoming the standard.
3
@sandervanderkammen9230 - here's a question: what's the U.S. designation for the engine of the AV-8B Harrier II?
2
@sandervanderkammen9230 - yes, thank you. Though, I suggest not using bold for the entire comment and only use it to highlight. And theres one other thing: a lot of your comments suggest that, not to be rude, you're lacking context.
2
@sandervanderkammen9230 - not to be rude or anything, but something tells us you may have failed to account for other factors that follow. Take the 262 for example: yes it's faster than what the Allies have in store, but without the sufficient numbers and with Germany's factories getting bombed (ones that provide the engines and other materials), that advantage was already negated.
2
@billrosenstein - except not legal. Still internationally recognized as Ukrainian.
2
@billrosenstein - nope. Crimea is still part of Ukraine, and you know it.
2
@billrosenstein - local* (with an asterisk). Besides, Russia kicked out the Tartars off Crimea (the population that was residing before).
2
@Дмитрий-х9з4г - while leaving out the part that Moscow played a part in the rise of the German war machine (the Leichttraktor, for one example).
2
Yeah, not quite. Besides, what about that glorious Russian return from Kherson?
2
@LaHayeSaint - that ain't a riddle. Just search on the internet: there are a good number.
2
Incorrect
2
Not this case.
2
@sinisamarkovic6528 - is it?
2
@sinisamarkovic6528 - yeah, Russia is having a hard time right now.
2
@sinisamarkovic6528 - "Z"as in zero brains, zero understanding of Ukraine, and pretty much zero effective strategy.
2
@sandervanderkammen9230 - the Phantom II got useful when they had a WWII ace helping out (Robin Olds). Plus, the Navy seemed to do a better job with flying them.
1
@WilhelmKarsten - "the Me-262 was a quantum leap in aviation technology... the Allies had absolutely nothing compared to it." Until the German factories started getting bombed by Allied aircraft. The plane's advantages were slowly eaten away.
1
Very, very, very slowly.
1
"Putin made no aggressive moves." - because he didn't need to? Besides, didn't Biden order satellite pics of Russian positions pre-Feb 24 to be declassified?
1
@Саха-д2к - except, not quite. Besides, you forgot the part that Moscow helped the very same German war machine with its build-up in the Interwar years (the Leichttraktor is an example).
1
Incorrect. Putin should have just taken the L gracefully the moment Ukraine moves to forge closer ties with the EU.
1
Except not really.
1
Except not really.
1
@WilhelmKarsten - based on the Nene engine.
1
They literally focused on Kyiv in the early days, and it didn't work out.
1
@montynicol350 - in other words, that's not the case. Russia really wished Kyiv was under their control. EDIT: And if that wasn't enough, why did Russia made the failed moves to off Zelensky? Why did Russia went to Hostomel Airport (which also failed)? They're anything but "fixing maneuvers".
1
Incorrect.
1
Not quite.
1
@davidrobertsemail - not quite. Putin was happy to see Trump do the damage (until Biden came).
1
@davidrobertsemail - re-read the last statement. Putin didn't need to do much during that period.
1
@davidrobertsemail - honestly, something tells us you have little idea what Putin was doing while Trump was in office. The former used the latter.
1
@davidrobertsemail - with missing context? Edit: Of course, Putin prefers to keep the oil prices high. What I'm saying here is that Putin would have invaded anyway even when Trump was in office. Again, the former used the latter to do much of the dirty work.

@村山和貴 俺の最愛の母親と従姉達の故郷であるセルビアとロシアの矜持を米英から取り戻す - incorrect.
1
Hate to tell you but the defeat of the Germans were supported by US Lend-Lease. And besides, what about Finland?
1
TLDR: Russia is doing it so poorly, they had to do mobilization. That's hardly about "teaching about how to be subtle" and more "what not to do during a 'special military operation'".
1
@村山和貴 俺の最愛の母親と従姉達の故郷であるセルビアとロシアの矜持を米英から取り戻す - until you realize that the 3-day thrust to Kyiv is taking way, way, way longer than anticipated. Not something that Putin wanted.
1
@村山和貴 俺の最愛の母親と従姉達の故郷であるセルビアとロシアの矜持を米英から取り戻す - (X) Doubt. BTW, please stop with the random Japanese and Russian posts.
1
"Russian is playing the long game." - poorly
1
Yeah, not quite. The mobilization in Russia hints that things aren't really turning up so well for Putin.
1
@村山和貴 俺の最愛の母親と従姉達の故郷であるセルビアとロシアの矜持を米英から取り戻す - but since Putin said that the event is only a "special military option", it pretty much betrays the cover.
1
@Daksha-q6s - and things aren't going as well.
1
Actually close to 1 dead Ukrainian for every 2-3 dead Russians.
1
@yoyomodiji - yet the battle for the city is still ongoing... since August of last year. And that is already too, TOO LONG for Russia.
1
@yoyomodiji - "I am assured Russian army is a very capable force" - the pro-Russia milbloggers say otherwise.
1
Replace Ukraine with Russia, Zelensky with Putin and his cronies. That's more accurate. Besides, Ukraine has room to fight corruption despite a war ongoing.
1
@kustov1 - then why are there still many synagouges still up and running around the world? You don't even know what Nazism even means.
1
@scramjet7466 - military planners and engineers don't care about looks. They're way more focused on function.
