And here lies the problem: this was the time when the Japanese economy in the 90's was on a downward spiral, aside from ever-tightening emissions and crash standards, and some dismissal by the public. Simply suggesting that Toyota should continue making it would be an understatement. Before calling Toyota lazy-asses, do your research. They understandably went to BMW for a reason. We don't want to make the same mistake, do we? Edit: Before I forget, you can also thank the 2008 financial crisis and RND for strangling Toyota's efforts for sports cars even further.
