Except, you missed a lot of contexts. - there's Operation Fortitude that preceeded D-Day. - the Normandy landings didn't just invovle the U.S. - Russia waas able to reach Berlin with the addition of Allied lend-lease and lengthy bombing campaings that preceeded it. - and then there's the western front.

  11. ​ @jameshayes9932  - not quite the whole story. Besides by the time the Battle of Kursk started, the Axis were kicked out of Africa, German factories were being bombed by Allied bombers based in Britain, and then theres Lend-lease for Moscow. That pretty much streched the Germans thin.
