"Look at Russia's history." - more specifically Russo-Japanese war, (in which Russia lost), the Polish-Soviet War (in which the Soviets lost), annexing much of eastern Europe, attempted to capture Finnish land in the Winter War (in which the Soviets got a bloodied and bruised face and body in doing so), successfully taking over the eastern half of Poland at the start of WWII as agreed with Germany... and lets not forget the part that Moscow assisted the latter in rearmament during the Interwar Period. Russia isn't really the invincible nation you think it is.
