"Putin looks stronger than ever after this" - IDK, destroying at least three helicopters and 1 transport plane doesn't exactly seem like a sign of strength, even if the "coup" fizzled out as quickly as it began. Besides, Ukraine seemed to have taken advantage of it and captured at least some land that was taken since 2014. EDIT: Oh wait, it seems Wagner downed at least 7 helicopters.

Ask Putin.
6
Never, and even if they do press the button, this will not sit well. Even Beijing is well aware of this.
3
Something tells me you need to do a bit more history research.
3
The thing is, Kyiv existed before Moscow was even established.
2
@CCSERVE-cn1ly - "It was Ukraine who refused to stop shelling the Donbas" - because there are actual Russian soldiers there. Besides, a lot of the shelling was already debunked. "anti Russian language laws" - which is also debunked. Besides, Zelensky freely speaks Russian. "2014 coup" - once again, debunked. Yanukovych was ousted because of his failure to bring Ukraine closer to the EU and trying to pass an oppressive anti-protest law.
2
Nope.
2
Russia attacks civilian areas indiscriminately on a regular basis. In Ukraine's case, it's unfortunate timing that the family got caught in the blast. You can only do so much to avoid civilian deaths as much as possible.
2
"From a free thinker in canada" - ironic. Besides, Russia ticks more of the boxes for evil.
2
Not quite.
2
Not quite.
2
Unfortunately, Russia is too drunk in land-grabbing to do so.
2
Pro-Russia milbloggers say otherwise.
2
Better off with no military parade at all, especially given this year's Victory Day Parade.
1
@PandaBear-i9o "A country taken over by a US led coup..." - which is false.
1
*Russia's and Putin's
1
"Isn't it being used by both Ukraine and Russia to travel easily" Here's the thing: Ukraine did not approve it especially since Crimea remains, legally-speaking, Ukrainian territory. Russia decided to build it anyway.
1
Not quite.
1
@DapperCanuck - incorrect
1
@WendyKroyy - still leaning to the fact Ukraine isn't Russia.
1
@John_Doe448 - nope. Russia did it.
1
"until the two were separated by a distant relative called the USA.." - nope, Moscow pretty much doesn't like Ukraine getting closer to the EU.
1
@jameswambede4524 - which is, again, false. Russia is afraid that Ukraine wishes to get better. Besides, the former Warsaw Pact members actually hate Moscow.
1
"People could live with Russian government" Most, if not all, Eastern European countries say otherwise... not just Ukraine.
1
Here's one problem with using Lybia: Russia approved the intervention there.
1
@ariarivendelchannel - planes and midair refueling exist. Besides, NATO Article 5 exist as well.
1
Except not the whole story, bud.
1
@draculadracula2414 - except there are a lot of pictures and videos of Russian military equipment using the bridge. Targeting it while there are little usage is a prudent choice.
1
@sergeipetrov_rzn - but of little-to-no strategic value and its effects not as pronounced as those of the bridge.
1
"You attacked their tourism." The attacks on Russian military bases in Crimea should have been clear to those in Crimea that they're right beside a warzone.
1
Except, not quite.
1
"and then the west backed a coup" - except not really.
1
@vitorlopes2064 "this was provoked by the west." - incorrect. "NATO exansion" - tell that to the former Warsaw Pact members who are already in NATO (they hate Moscow for how the Kremlin treated them).
1
The bridge also serves the Russian military's logistics network, so it's a valid target. Besides, even Russian dashcam vids had captured footage of last year's smokescreen exercises meant to conceal it.
1
@xcitemex6353 - Russia invaded Ukraine, so war is automatically declared. "They haven't because they are chickens." - Russia is more chicken than Ukraine. Invade a neighbor, and you know what happens next.
1
Nope.
1
Too late for that one.
1
Not quite, and you know it.
1
Here's the thing: Moscow's actions before (treatment of their former Warsaw Pact members) and since the fall of the Soviet Union (Chechnya, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine) pretty much gave NATO more than enough good reasons to expand. They would rather distance themselves from Moscow.
1
@entonduck - this ain't exactly a joke. I mean, look at Japan's wartime history (most of it are denied being done by them).
1
Nope. That bridge also serves a purpose in Russian military logistics.
1
Incorrect.
1
And yet, Russia is still having a hard time fighting Ukraine.
1
@itsgoodforyou4235 - incorrect. First, Yanukovych failed to bring Ukraine closer to the EU. Then, he tried to pass an anti-protest law that enraged basically almost every Ukrainian. When he was leaned towards the wall, his own parliament voted to boot him from office. That's not exactly illegal.
1
@itsgoodforyou4235 - "trying to pass a law is not illegal" - but what it contained is the problem. "You know the answer" - you mean, you know but you can't just simply admit.
1
@itsgoodforyou4235 - something tells me you're not telling all of it.
1
Armenia says otherwise.
1
@СерёгаСерегин-р8б - while Russia continues to kill how many civilians in Ukraine again on a regular basis? Way more than that family.
1
Eh, the bridge has radar reflectors, nearby AD systems, etc.
1
@destro73 - never saw those radar reflector barges and smokescreen excercise near the bridge before? Those already hinted at the obvious nature of the bridge as a critical supply link between Crimea and the Russian mainland. Even Russian dashcam vids already showed.
