  2. A Mazda MX-5 is still a sports car because it focuses on lightweight handling and has a dynamic chassis to boot. 0-60 times doesn't exactly matter when there are tight corners to navigate through. Be honest: would a minivan do the same?

  6.  @DarthMaul41  - the main issue is... not a lot of sports cars are bought new. The reason why Toyota went to BMW: the Mk.IV Supra didn't sell well exactly (at least on the American side of things). Then there is also regulations. Expensive to do RnD, escpecially on a more niche product.
