  1. Silver is nice for small purchases, but only Gold is accepted by the BASEL III banking accords as Tier 1 assets (no discount rate when being used as collateral for loans).

  3. The USA keeps saying they have 8133 tonnes of gold reserves. And they say that every year, like they're not even bothering to count it. And if you add up all the declared gold reserves and then add another 50% to account for jewelry and 30% ish for industrial uses, that world total is more than all the gold that was ever mined. Somebody is lying.
