  1. 3:26 wait why not put a big TV screen on the earth-facing side of the satellite that shows the starfield behind the satellite? the observers are all on earth so they'd all be looking at the same direction so you only have to render one image for all observers. The Navy did this for airplanes, it was called Yehudi lights, and made the airplanes much harder to detect against a bright sky because the lights were the same luminance and color as the sky behind the plane.
