@paddington1670 Imagine if they finally declassify the Roswell scout ship and it turns out to be a rocket propelled quadcopter made of aluminium alloyed with a little copper and comes equipped with a pair of nuclear weapons, a microwave oven and an IBM compatible PC.

@ASlickNamedPimpback and the thing that is making Congress interested is the allegation that senior officials named by Grusch did indeed steal these artefacts and personally profit from doling out access to them, instead of holding them in trust for the national good. That is a very serious case of white collar crime, which Grusch mentions repeatedly.

@ASlickNamedPimpback also "Murderer's Bay" in New Zealand. Life is by definition able to die.

21:49 the dark forest trilogy is also an allegory for how countries on earth interact after the end of globalism

23:08 the Vanishing and Appearing Sources during a Century of Observations project (VASCO) has noticed that about 700 stars have disappeared from our night sky in the past 70 years alone, according to Beatriz Villarroel of the Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics.

26:58 just like in the Dark Forest trilogy, if you wanted to destroy a civilization and it was very far away, your first wave wouldn't be a giant space battle where you destroy the combined human fleet. Your first move is to send covert Train and Advisor teams that are cheap to send to do psyops and terrorism on the target and soften them up.

16:28 maybe they want our genetic diversity and all the behaviours and culture that creates. Gold is common in the galaxy, relatively speaking, but Blockbuster video is vanishingly rare.

If aliens are real, America needs a Space Force. 🇺🇸🇺🇲🌎🇺🇸🇺🇲

Grusch is really careful to say that they recovered "Non-Human Intelligence" biological material, and NOT space aliens. He is also careful to say "transdomain craft" and NOT spaceship. What if they don't come from beyond the skies, but they have a vehicle that can transition from under the seas to hypersonic space flight in a single stage? What if they've been here under the ocean longer than we have.

@RyanMcBethProgramming maybe not the ocean then, but the number of times he's corrected his questioners to use his very odd and specific names feels like he's asking us to pick up what he's laying down.
