  2. Jimmy Carter got voted out due to runaway inflation and then Paul Volcker raised interest rates to crash the economy and liquidate wages to curb inflation. Donald Trump left office in an age of runaway wealth inequality, and isn't wealth inequality just another way to say "asset price inflation"?
