  1. Look at what happened with Israel: Israel gave passes to Palestinians to work in Israel earn 10x what they could earn in Palestine. Israel relied on robots to monitor the border and undermanned it for years. Israel thought that if they just gradually improved conditions for the Palestinians they'd stop saying "Death to Israel" and become moderates. And it didn't work. The enemy gets a vote too.
