  2.  @ant2715 interesting point- the robot that can do all those tasks can also use tools made for humans to extract raw materials from the environment, fabricate, finish, assemble and program this matter into a copy of itself. At that point you’re not dealing with a new technology - you’re dealing with a new species. One that doesn’t need you or to raise your children.

  8. 1:20:00 a thousand years from now, nobody is going to remember this video or what you ascribed value to. Either your descendents will be alive, or they won't exist. If a woman was on board with raising your kids, they will have a higher likelyhood of existing, we hope at least. Very few people have generational impact beyond their own offspring and most leave this world as if they never existed in the first place after living miserable lives.
