It seems that you dont understand the meaning of the word "consensus". If even one country - be it china or russia - does not agree to the joint declaration at G21, then a consensus statement cannot be acheived. Consensus is different from democracy in that in consensus you need 100% of the vote. The fact that a G21 conswnsus was reached in India means that there was much to gain for every country involved including china and russia. The reason of personal decision of xi and putin to not attend the summit is k own only to them but the representatives of china and russia have agreed to the g21 declaration as well....

@robertoalex4245 by your own logic, even if xi and putin came the g21 would stil be a pr stunt.... but you are specifically trying to say that the g21 became a pr stunt because xi and putin didnt come. There seems to be a certain level of inconsistensy in your reasoning. As for nothing of significance being decided, i already gave you concrete examples of broad consensus in areas of operation - the problems dont get solved by ironclad agreements in one single meet and no agreement is ironclad in international relations. The objectives of the summit to ensure the views and positions of every participating nation/union were understood among themselves so that further negotiations regarding anything feom biofuels to millets to tech for MSMEs can be expedited. Fact is that your logic is inconsistent especially when you say that xi+putins absence made the g21 meeting irrelevant pr stunt while then going on to say that it always was a pr stunt (irrespective of xi+putin). I suggest you stop worshipping xi a little less so that you regain the ability to think with a clear head...

@robertoalex4245 lol i guess you are more ignorant about the events that transpired in todays meet than i thought. The G21 meet presided over by India saw the signing of the largest number of agreements among member states over a wide variety of sectors like biofuels, land restoration, clean energy, logistics, blue ocean economy, sustainable agriculture, access to technology for MSME, digital infrastructure design etc with the total amount of agreements regarding a wide variety of topics reaching more than thrice that of each of the previous 3 g20 summits. None of the agreements are binding on any of the states and they never were binding in the past either - but there is no compulsion to sign such a huge number of agreements on a wide range of topics. The entire G21 summit was not a one day ceremony either but a prolonged sustained discussion organised over 60 centres over the span of the entire year so as to allow proper discussion on the widest range of topics possible. This g21 summit has been the most ambitious summit in the history of the grouping thus far, the proof of that is in the sheer number of topics discussed and the sheer number of agreements signed between the participating players. But if you feel sore that xi and putin couldnt attend the closing ceremony then i can do nothing to lessen your pain...

@robertoalex4245 oh really, were you in the room when modi begged biden for support? Did xi and putin put you in the conference call when they expressed their displeasure towards India? Were the chinese premier li qiang and the russian foreign minister sergei lavrov too stupid to block the consensus statement of the g21 meet? India cut russian oil because russia reduced the discount offered. Russia understands every international player has the freedom to act as per their priorities. India is neither the satellite state of the wesr nor the satellite state of russia, Indian policy is centred firmly on the prosperity of the Indian people and nothing else...

@robertoalex4245 there is no loss exvept the loss of value of your word in international forums - a nation that lies when lying is unnecessary will be seen as a weak, cowardly confused. Chinas xi did not come because India organised meetings in kashmir and arunachal pradesh. China can be as unreasonable as it wants to be, it is chinas loss - seeing how chinese economics boomed during their decades of international collaboration acting as factoey of the world and of how their economy is declining after the pandemic and their aggressive provocative foreign policy, it is chinas loss if xi chose not to attend and make new friends at Indias g21. As for africa, china has given much more investments while chinas own BRI is flling behind because not all of tbise investments were sound - best example is CPEC which has reached next to nowhere after starting 10 years ago. Comparison of china vs India in africa can be done by giving example like competition between chinese and Indian bike brands - there are 200+ chinese bike brands operating in africa but the most preferred bikes are from 2 Indian brands bajaj and TVS because of reasonable price and good rugged quality. Not every problem of africa can be solved by china throwing money at the problem, meanwhile India aims at industry collaboration, energy projects, targetting sectors like education, medicine, etc whil offerring expertise on digital architecture, finance, etc. to africa - basically helping africa solving their problems with Indian inputs rather than simply planning, bhilding and operating solutions like china does under the BRI. If you understand the concept of self respect you might understand which is better for the African continent - India or china....

@robertoalex4245 grand acheivments and breakthrough cooperation are evaluated with the previous benchmark - that being previous summit. You cannot compare apples with oranges. By the same logic applied to g21, according to you every grouping from the brics to g7 are nothing but publicity stunts, but i doubt you have ever said the same. Your original problem was not that such international summits are PR events, it was that your god xi was not there for g21. If anyone wanted to learn how to shift goalposts, they ought to learn it from you. What a sore loser...
