Unfortunately the lies of the first 70 years caused erosion of Indian civilisation and values, loss of self respect, a inefficient and corrupt system etc. In contrast most modern lies are more encouraging for social growth and the evolution of the social psyche. But i agree that better lies are not sufficient in the long term, sooner or later at least partial truths will have to enter the political discourse, similar to how the realities of the Kashmiri pundit exodus are causing a resurgence of civilisatio al nationalism, something that extends well beyond modi gandhi or any other individual.

If you actually cared about the economy you would have knowledge about the amount of new disruptive techs that have entered the indian market in the last 2 years, on topics from EV to space tech startups. What about the economy? That question will be answered in 3 years time.

  28.  @mohtalha  i wonder why the various waqf boards arent protesting in jantar mantar to reform the judicial system despite a large percentage of prisoners being muslim. They have enough time organising CAA protests, sir tan se juda protests, namaz in public roads, gobbling up land and acquiring money, etc. The entire religion is a feudal business structure that needs to be dismantled. It shouldnt be allowed to run a parellel state with parellel rules of law and order or any semblence of sharia. If all Indians are equal and the constitution strives for equality, it is time for all Indians to introspect the effectiveness of outdated ideology and adapt to our experience and circumstances instead of bowing down before some damned arabic text.

Freeing temples from government financial regulation, reestablushing hindu religious institutions like gurukuls, promote indigenous culture literature language and arts (including banned martial arts like kalaripayattu all across India) etc. while progressing rapidly as a country is needed.

  31. India does need liberal democracy. But that doesnt mean liberal democracy achieved through replication of western trajectories or liberal democracy qcheived with western standards. India needs liberal democracy with absolute freedom of speech and strict enforcement of rule of law, so that thousands of idiots shouting "sar tan se juda" over the actual recorded history do not intimidate the judiciary into submission. India needs liberal democracy where state govt dont control finances of religious institutions and judiciary is not above criticism of the people. India needs liberal dem9cracy where "we the people" of a constitution represents the living breathing populace rather than those who have died decades ago. But despite all his education, Mr. Rajan will never acknowledge these basic fundamental logical truths.

Then again islamic culture is much more liberal and progressive than any other culture. After all, mohameds wife ayesha was 6 years old at the time of marriage and 9 at the age of consummation of their wedlock. As we see, islamic culture was already in support of the LGBTQP community (particularly the P part of the community).

I vote for him because, beyond the pre independence humiliation, the post independent narrative has been that somehow Indians are magnanimous about the atrocities of the past and somehow magically forgive everyone and everything. The BJP distorts history much less than what the congress and the left has done over the decades, right from the myths of aurangazeb donating to build temples , to the outright denial of various atrocities committed by foreign ideologies . Those who deny history are dooming everyone else to repeat it. In that situation, a fair bit of caution is necessary, as is a sincere attempt to revive and revitalise Indian civilisation. Because ultimately, that is what every invading force aimed at destroying, just like how egyptian civilisation greek civilisation, etc was destroyed and replaced with islamic and christian civilisational values and philosophies. Both countries will never reach their former greatness as a result, and I dont want India to suffer a similar fate. In that scenario, the BJP is the least evil.

The logic aplied in USA is flawed and does not reflect the fundamental principle of universal sufferage - that every citizen's vote should count equally. The interests of regional parties do not supercede the fundamental principles of Indian democracy.

  46. Covid didn't communalise India, covid released communal tensions long existing since independence. Communal politics is played by not just the bjp but all parties, and used as the first tool of choice for muslim political leaders. No other religion in India does it despite there bieng atleast 5 different religions. Bridging the communal divide requires effort from both sides of the spectrum, muslims and non muslims....

As for project allocation, that topic is debatable but i find that the bjp largely allocates projects based on future trends and needs to acheive their own stated targets of 5 trillion$ economy while simultaneoisly pursuing long standing national goals such as greater intrgration of the north east and various mountainous regions, tackling climante change, etc...
