@sauron2000000 china also did things like the one child policy, where if you are pregnant with a second child it gets aborted even if its a 9 month foetus. Imagine the same in bengal... if you are willing to have the same type of growth model then please glorify china.

@sauron2000000 like i said, if you envy china, i suggest that you man up and admit that you wouldn't mind such brutality. You would essentially be saying that you don't mind strangling babies when it helps the economy. I am not a communist and i personally think such brutality is unwarranted, especially now that the policy has been modified to a "two child policy" due to the long term socio-economic effects of the original "one child policy". My opinion is further justified by the fact that indian population rate is slowing and population is expected to peak at 2050, while china has rolled back its one child policy due to a rapidly aging population with insufficient youth to drive the economy forward as the years go by. Moreover the one child policy has created social problems among entire generation of "amul baby" single children. The one child policy was ultimately much more blunt, brutal and simplistic/stupid than demonetisation and is comparable only to the other chinese blunders like the great leap forward or the cultural revolution.

@sauron2000000 its never too late, if you are so convinced about the necessity of such a culling i suggest you do it yourself, or atleast suggest/support such measures publicly. After all India is a democracy, and everyone including you are free to express their opinions.

@sushi-um689 restricting personal freedom can be done in varying levels of brutality. Depending o the brutality involved it will have different levels of success. Policy implementation is not simple by any metric, especially in large countries like India and China. But its easier in china due to the single party rule. A obvious downside of that is that there is jot much necessity for the government to persuade its people to implement controversial policies smoothly. Instead the one child policy was the third (to the best extents of my understanding of china after 1950) knee jerk brutal policy after the cultural revolution (second) and the great leap forward (first) which also created new problems at the same scale of the existing problem, while extracting a huge toll on the human capital of the country. I am not saying that the chinese were wrong to formulate the one child policy, but i am saying that they were too blunt and brutal in its implementation. Not every policy issue can be solved through sheer resolve and grit. They should have learnt that after the famines following the great leap forward.

@sauron2000000 massacres, ethnocides and genocides also happened and are happening in china. I wonder if you endorse the current ethnic cleansing of uyghur muslims in xinjiang and would endorse similar treatment of muslims in India? You seem not to mind brutality if it strengthens the state...

@sauron2000000 only delusional people believe that. Even the head of the RSS said publicly that the ancestors of indian muslims were hindus. Any such ethnocide or genocide of Indian muslims would be a victory of radical islam. Again you just deflected my question, and was silent about your opinion towards the persecution of uyghur muslims. I can't blame you beyond a point, seeing that even the islamic republic of pakistan and the Erdogan's Turkey are too scared of china to speak about it. That's how shallow islamic 'ummah' has become.

@sauron2000000 you certainly have a great deal of wit. If only you had a fraction of that as logic or knowledge, you actually might be successful in life
