@Suresh_Kamath the state is the monopoly over the use of legitimate force. Every nation state is based on violence. The difference between goons and legitimate rulers is legitimacy granted by people. That legitimacy is with yogi.

@Suresh_Kamath those who say abbajan means those muslims who supported mulayam singh as abbajan, ie . Yadav muslim alignment at the cost of all other sections

@Suresh_Kamath and lenin and mao were leading minority political factions who usurped power through undemocratic means. Lenin manipulated the lower class of russia to wreck chaos and seize control. And mao waited for the japanese to decimate the chinese national army and then seized power. Both used concepts of demonising the legitimate power of the time in russia and china, seized power through undemocratic means and oversaw massive destruction and famine of their own people. (Mao oversaw the worst famine in human history). Thuggery or violence is not exclusive to the right or the conservatives. Funnily enough, the way attempts are made to demonise modi and yogi is similar to how many govt were demonised before violent revolution. If you want to argue, do it based on facts, not propaganda or insinuation

@Suresh_Kamath is nepal a muslim nation too? Because yogi also said nepal. As for context, yogi also pater said that now EVERYONE was getting ration. I believe EVERYONE includes muslims. The fact that you noticed bangladesh but not nepal highlights how impartial you are in your political analysis. Yogi promises equal allocation of resources. That is his statement in this context. His promise is not special preference. It is not allocation based on votes or political leverage, unlike what was happening during abbajan mulayam singhs rule.

@Suresh_Kamath if you evaluate yogi using his past remarks as "context" then you will understand and acknowledge why yogi is so popular. It is because such context of past statements , from mulayam singhs abbajan remark, to congress affidavit questioning the historicity of Bhagawan Ram (as an argument against the Ram Mandir) and Manmohan singh's "minority deserve first all9cation of resources" , sitaram yechury's "yoga resembles movement of dog" are all ample context to why people are sosupportive of BJP despite a poor economic record. India is majorly conservative and cultural. The fact thay the political conservatives promise economic growth and are finally backing that promise through infrastructural improvements, fundamental economic reforms and sound geopolitical strategy, while asserting India's cultural depth and history, will only cause greater support to the right from educated individuals and the apolitical middle class. In short, expect yogi for 2022 and modi for 2024.

@Suresh_Kamath what are you high on? BJP foesnt need to spread hatred by lying, simply speaking truth is enough for BJP. Thats not because BJP is communal, tha hatred exists in society because of extremist factions of muslims that target hindus. The BJP wasnt the one responsible for the mass exodus 0f kashmiri pundits. Who was in power then? Why didnt their politics s7cceed in bringing peace? The motto of India is "satyameva jayate" not "shanti eva jayate". Calling out religious extremists and fanatics within the muslim community is not hating muslims. Criticising islam is not hating muslims. If muslims become so violent when someone criticises islam, that is extremely concerning. Those who ignore and turn a blind eye to such behaviour legitimise outrage, violence and rioting as a legitimate means of political bargaining. And when leaders dont abide by national motto, that is the reason right wing parties come to power. That is the reason bjp came to power, because appeasement politics meant that leaders were unwilling to speak difficult truths out of fear of losing a political vote bloc. But now its time to end such bullshit and build the nation on the base of truth, not peace.
